Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and songwriter. Her family was home-schooled by her mother and her father, in USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and made to feel unwanted. If she attended an event at school and was given great praise for her performance when she was in the ninth grade, the girl began to feel more confident. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed the direction she was heading in her the future. At the age of 22, she graduated in the Julliard School of New York. In 1993 she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot, she played the Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. The following year, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. As a well-known singer, she also has released an album and a musical. She's also an activist who is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
