There she played brisk leading women in a string of boring B films like Vengeance of the West (1942) featuring Tex Ritter and Alias Boston Blackie (1942) which starred Chester Morris. A couple of years later she was transformed into a sexy platinum blonde pin-up following her signing to Republic Studios. The actress was in high demand at Republic Studios, mostly as a senorita opposite Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. Blackmail (1947), Web of Danger (also 1947) as well as Wake of the Red Witch(1948) featuring John Wayne, as well as The Avengers (1950) were another crime dramas she appeared as a part of.
